If your goal is to get an eight pack abs there is nothing that can stop you. you can achieve your goal with proper diet and a good exercise session so let’s get started.

The first step for showing your abs is to shed the fat that is covering it to do that you should exercise and the best exercises to burn fat is aerobic exercise combined with strength training and the best aerobic exercises are rope jumping, running, bicycling…etc which we have talked on the previous topic ”how to lose belly fat  ,in today’s topic we will talk about training you should perform to build a shredded eight pack. To build a perfect abs you should exercise the different part of the abs so we will provide you with the exercise to hit every part of your abs. here are the exercises.

Leg raise

:-this exercise is very good because it hits the lower part of your abs which is the place most fat is accumulated and it is one of the tricky part of your abs to hit and this exercise also help you to build the middle part of your abs. here is the image to do the exercise.

Bar leg raise

:-this exercise helps to build a strong upper and middle abs with a stronger quads and this exercise also help to build a strong grip strength but if you cant hang on a bar long time you can exercise to increase your grip strength and until then you can try other alternative exercises that are stated above. here is the image to do the exercise.

 Russian twist

:-this exercise is helpful to build the oblique or sides of your abs which is hard to target and the obliques are one the body part that are covered by fat on most peoples next to your lower belly. this exercise also helps to build the upper part of your abs, here is the image to do the exercise.

:-this exercise targets the upper and the middle of your abs and this exercise is a little bit harder than the regular crunch because you will not be supported by your hands, here is the image to do the exercise.

:-this exercise is the best exercise from our list which is done by combining crunch and bicycling which hits all part of your abs effectively and it is a bit harder than other exercises because it have a high range of motion, here is the image to do the exercise.

These are the best exercises that will help you to build well defined and balanced abs, and to get the best out of these exercises you need to do them from 8 to 12 reps untill failure and 2 or 3 sets but doing the exercise very fast will prevent you from faster gains so each rep should be slow and engaged. you can choose 2 or 3 exercise that suits you then you can start exercising.

Many people are doing exercises that are not useful to build abs and they are wasting there time on them so to prevent you from these exercises I prepared a list of these exercises.

Exercises that you are wasting your time on

Sit ups

:-this exercise is not useful to build your abs because the rep range to build muscle is from 6 to 12 reps and any one can pass this range and which means this exercise become an endurance exercise so don’t waste your time on this exercise if you want to build abs.

Regular crunch

:-this exercise is even easier than sit ups which is also useless to build abs so this is the second exercise you should not waste your time on.

Plank

:-this exercise is one of the useless exercise that is done by many people. this exercise is useless to build muscle because it doesn’t have a range of motion which makes it an endurance exercise and adding some motion could help you burn the fat in your abs but it will not help to build your abs.
